After arrival, settle into your hotel for a 2-night stay and get ready to explore the wonders of this vibrant city.

Jaipur – Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh as Mughal influence waned in India, Jaipur was established as a new capital below the historic Amber Fort. Today, it serves as the capital of Rajasthan State and is famously known as the “Pink City” due to the distinctive pink paint adorning the buildings in the old city. This tradition began in 1876 to emulate the red sandstone architecture of the Mughals and to impress the visiting Prince of Wales.

Today’s sightseeing begins with a quick photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) to admire its striking facade.

Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) – This five-story palace was built in 1799 by Sawai Pratap Singh to allow the veiled ladies of his royal harem to observe the bustling street life below without being seen.

Next, continue to the impressive Amber Fort, with a jeep ride from the bus park up to the palace entrance.

Amber Fort – Constructed in the 16th century by Raja Man Singh from yellow and pink sandstone and white marble, Amber Fort is a stunning example of Rajput architecture. Inside, explore the Hall of Victory, which houses the famous Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace).
